Blu-Ray BOX | Steven Spielberg Director’s collection

Last weekend it was my birthday! To be exact: 20 September. As you all know – and the rest of my social connections – I just love films! I love to watch them and I love to write about them. So the perfect gift might have something to do with films. My parents didn’t like to just give me a dvd, they wanted to give something special. And they did gave me something special: Steven Spielberg’s Director’s collection with eight of of his amazing films!

In this amazing box, there are eight films directed by Steven Spielberg. But that’s not all. The Director’s Collection comes with an amazing book: Spielberg, A Journey in Film. The Blu-ray films are inside an other book where you can read all kind of things about the specific film. Every film has its own extras which provides us with some interesting information. The amazing director mr. Spielberg has made more amazing films than just eight, but this collection consists of the following films. Steven spielberg collection

DuelThe first film in this collection is Duel, which was also the first film for television Spielberg made. When David Mann takes his car to go the office, his trip changes into a freighting duel against a horrific truck. David has to drive for his life in a race which depends who lives and who dies.

the sugarand expressThe Sugarland Express from 1974 is the first cinema film Spielberg made. With the help of his brother and sister he has to hide the friendly alien from his parents and the government. In the mean time Elliot learns E.T. the English language a bit of technique so they can make a machine to communicate.

jurassic parkThe first dinosaur film I can recall: Jurassic Park. During a preview tour, a dinosaur theme park suffers a major power breakdown that allows its cloned dinosaur exhibits to run wild and free. Jurassic Park is the first film in this trilogy where dinosaurs are the main attraction.

The Lost world jurassic parkThe second film in the trilogy is called The Lost World: Jurassic Park. In this film a research team is sent to the Jurassic Park Site B island to study the dinosaurs there. In the mean time another team approaches with a mysterious agenda.

  1. Now that’s a very nice birthday present that will make several moviegoers jealous! The only point of critism is that most of the time it’s unable to include all of the movies of one director. Is this edition simular to the Stanley Kubrick collection? Because I definitely felt in love with that Limited Edition!

    1. I don’t know that edition, but from what I see on Google it seems to be similar. The box a nice book and my films have a lot of extras on it as well! 🙂
